Writer’s Digest Tutorials was launched in 2010 to provide online writing tutorials from experts in the industry on everything you need to know to help improve your craft and get published. The tutorials are streamed to Writer’s Digest Tutorial members so that they can be viewed 24/7 from any computer with a high-speed internet connection without requiring software downloads. You can choose to purchase a membership to all of our tutorials for either a 1-month or 12-month period, or you can purchase a subscription to any individual tutorial for 1 month. For more information on ordering options, please mouse over the "Buy Tutorials" link in the top navigation bar & select membership length you'd like. Writer’s Digest Tutorials is operated by F+W Media, Inc. -- owners of Writer’s Digest Magazine, Writers Market, Writer’s Digest University, and the Writer’s Digest Shop.
Do I need to have a high-speed internet connection to use Writer's Digest Tutorials??
Yes. In order to have a satisfactory viewing experience you'll need to have a high-speed internet connection: typically Cable, high-speed DSL or satellite dish.
Most end user access problems are due to connectivity issues on the user side. Even on a high-speed connection, a CPU or RAM resource issue on the client system can cause issues or slowdowns. We have found that one thing a user might try is to clear their browser cache, check their system resources, and/or reboot if need be.
We also often direct people to http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/. This site performs a speed test of the user system, and sometimes reveals a connectivity issue (for example, if a shared cable line becomes bogged down, etc).
To view a preview of each tutorial, simply click on the "Free Preview" button below any of the tutorial listings, or in your search results as you browse around the site. You can also access the preview from any of the tutorial details pages -- available via the "Learn More" buttons below the tutorial listings.
Can I get a refund if I want to cancel my membership?
Yes. If you notify us via email at email@example.com within 7 days of the date you placed your order, we will refund your full purchase amount. Refunds, including partial refunds, are not granted if you choose to cancel your order beyond 7 days of the transaction date. We can only issue a refund to the same credit card you used when placing your order. To ensure that we can look up your order and account information, please include your full contact information along with the name, address and last four numbers of the credit card you used when placing the order you want refunded. To help us improve our service, please indicate why you wish to cancel your order.
Our monthly and annual full-site memberships are auto-renewed, so they will not expire. Once your membership term is up you will automatically be charged and renewed for another membership term of the same length, until you cancel. You can cancel your membership by clicking the "My Account" link at the top right-hand corner of the site.
Single video subscriptions do not auto-renew. These subscriptions last one month, and after that month, your access to the one video you purchased will end.

Yes. When entering your credit card information to make a purchase, your credit data is secured using PayPal's VeriSign Secured transaction process. PayPal is one of the most trusted providers of online payment processing on the Internet. Please note that your full credit card number is never stored on our servers. For added security, our employees never have access to your full credit card number.
Where is the My Workshops page that used to have all of the workshops in one place?
We have vastly improved the ability to find and sort through all of the videos with our latest relaunch. Before, the My Workshops page was the only page where you could find the full-length video of each tutorial as a logged-in subscriber. Now, if you are a logged-in subscriber, you can go view any full-length video (not just the preview) through searching for it through the site search box at the top of each page and pressing the "Watch Now" button, or browsing the full library here and pressing any "Watch Now" button.
